About Dimensions of Design
Architecture is about solving problems creatively with built forms.
Great ideas will always prevail because their ability to resiliently survive the five-and-a-half dimensions. Our design canvas ought to stretch beyond the conventional three dimensions and dabble in the realms of time and politics. Each one of these dimensions have its respective ideals, qualities, and deficiencies. These speculatory principles are not universal truth, rather they are the found principals of an architect pursuing for great design daily.
Tommy Tso is an OAA Architect in Ontario, Canada.

He believes art + design is about first looking and listening, understanding the practical and cultural needs of the community, and then collaboratively solving problems creatively. He specializes in computation, simulations, and parametric design. Tommy is trained as an artist and skilled in various traditional mediums, too.
Currently, he is the Project Architect leading the revitalization effort at Toronto Pearson Airport (GTAA) and Ottawa’s Centre Block Rehabilitation Project (Federal Parliament).
